I love the kids at the school, but even that is different and new. It will take some time for me to become comfortable with it. It´s like a new job...everyone hates being new. :)
Pray for health and for adjustments. I haven´t been feeling well, and I haven´t been eating a lot. Nothing ever sounds good. The food is very different than at home.
I also don´t have a lot of contact with the other girls. I´m hoping as time goes on that will improve. But in the time being it has not been easy.
I keep telling myself it´s a new experience. It gets better day by day.
God is doing great things here. It is amazing to listen to the stories of what He has done.
God is faithful and right now the only friend that truly understands. That is definitely a comfort. I am definitely becoming more dependent on Him. I wouldn´t change that for the world.
Bendiciones! Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.
I hope to come back on the internet soon, but I am very busy. Until then... :)
Allie, things will get better! Our exchange student Paula had a hard time at first she was quite homesick! As the days went on she made lots of new friends and by the end of her stay dinn't really want to leave. Spend time around your host family and act like you are one of their kids. I am sure they love having a beautiful American girl living with them!
ReplyDeleteWhat do they eat there? You are already plenty thin so learm to eat the new food!
You are in our prayers to stay healthy and that you are the blessing to those children, which we know you will be!
Love

ReplyDeleteI'm really sorry to hear that it's been hard adjusting down there. It is a completely different world from what you're used to! Al Im praying for you; that you feel better physically and emotonally and continue to grow spiritually. I am so proud of you! I am totally convinced that God will make this experience a good one for you. When I'm struggling and feeling alone, this verse has helped me many times. "I am the LORD, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you" Isaiah 41:13.
te amo por siempre,
Jordan
